Walter S. Miller

Walter S. Miller, 85, died August 19, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Miller was born on June 1, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, to George and Julia Miller. He later made Fort Pierce his home.

Walter was a graduate of St. Anastasia Catholic School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, enlisting shortly after high school.

For 45 years, Walter worked alongside his brother, Joey, at St. Lucie Battery & Tire. Customers loved Walt for his gentle and kind nature. He was a tremendous asset to his brother and to St. Lucie Battery & Tire and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Walter also had a special love for horses.

Survivors include his children, Rosa (Tom) Miller and George Miller; grandson, Christopher Miller; brother, Joey (Doris) Miller; and his companion, Vicki, along with her children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George T. Miller and Julia Hernandez Miller; and his brothers, Frederick “Fred” Miller and Edward “Eddy” Miller.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
