Vivian Mae Morales, 64, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born in Kokomo, Indiana, on November 14, 1960, Vivian grew up with a love for family, laughter, and life’s simple joys. She attended Dan McCarty School and later built her home in Fort Pierce, Florida, where she married the love of her life, Jose Morales, on October 13, 1984. Together, they shared more than 40 years of marriage rooted in love and devotion.
Vivian worked off and on at Votino’s Pizza for more than 20 years, where she enjoyed the friendships and community she found there. A faithful member of Spirit Life Church of God, she found joy in reading the Bible and living a life of faith.
Vivian will be remembered for her vibrant personality and the many things that brought her happiness—shopping, singing karaoke, posting on social media, rummage sales, and attending family gatherings. More than anything, she was a proud and loving mother and grandmother, cherishing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with her whole heart.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Morales of Fort Pierce; her children, Tera Hanthorn, Juanita Marron, Juan Diaz, Yolanda Olvera, Alberta Sanchez, Jose Morales, Angel Segovia, Alejandro Hanthorn, Jesica Chavez-Hanthorn, Molly Hanthorn, and Joshua Hanthorn, all of Florida; mother, Alberta Hanthorn, sisters, Lisa Lugo and Alice Alaniz, both of Indiana, and Bridgette Mendoza of Mexico; brothers, Mike Duncan and Harry Hanthorn, both of Indiana; 19 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Vivian is reunited in Heaven with her father, Harry Edward Hanthorn, siblings, Harvey Hanthorn, Dennis Duncan, David McMillan, and Tammy Serrano, all of Indiana; Pammy Cruz of Kentucky; Sophie Medina of Washington; and Joann Sparks of Florida.
Her family and friends will deeply miss her laughter, her presence, and the love she so freely gave.
A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held in Fort Pierce, Florida, with details to be announced by the family.
