Verna Marie Roy, born February 6, 1926, to Albert and Yvonne Voisine, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Verna lived a long and beautiful life devoted to her family, her home, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Verna found joy in the moments shared with those she loved most. She enjoyed playing bingo, visiting casinos, going on cruises, shuffleboard, and—most of all—playing card games surrounded by her family. Verna was a dedicated homemaker whose warmth, strength, and kindness filled every room she entered.
Verna is survived by her children Carline, Nancy, Linda, Joyce, Delores, and Deborah; her brother Roland; sisters Annette and Jackie; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren, with two more blessings on the way.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence; her children Lawrence Jr. and Brian; her grandchildren Amanda Roy, Johnny Douglas, and Renee Thomas; and her parents.
Verna’s legacy lives on in the generations of family who carry her love and spirit forward. Her memory will forever be cherished.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at White City Cemetery, Fort Pierce.
