Umberto Albert "Bert" De Luca, 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones, on June 2, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was born on April 6, 1940, in Naples, Italy.

Bert lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, devotion to family, and a love of serving others. He was the proud owner of Grandpa's Diner in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he became known not only for his delicious cooking but also for his kindness and welcoming spirit. A faithful member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Bert was deeply committed to his community and believed in helping those in need. He regularly gave back by feeding the homeless, supporting veterans, and serving uniformed personnel.

On March 9, 2000, Umberto married the love of his life, Lisa. Together they shared a loving marriage built on faith, dedication, and family.

Umberto found joy in cooking, watching movies, and creating memories with those he loved. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, a dedicated father, a proud grandfather, and a loving great-grandfather whose presence brought warmth and strength to everyone around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa De Luca of Port St. Lucie, Florida; daughter, Luisa Betrus of New Jersey; son, Ferdinando De Luca of Port St. Lucie, Florida; son, Enrico De Luca of Delray, Florida; son, Jarrett De Luca of Miami, Florida; daughter, Chiara De Luca of Deerfield, Florida; son, Antonio Bassolino of Lake City, Florida; daughter, April Pavlick of Port St. Lucie, Florida; daughter, Mary De Luca of Port St. Lucie, Florida; thirteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Domenico De Luca; his brother, Rocco De Luca; his sister, Chiara De Luca; and his sister, Clorinda De Luca.

Bert will be remembered for his generous heart, his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his community, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness and compassion. His legacy of love, service, and family devotion will continue to live on in all who knew him.

May he rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port St. Lucie, Florida, 34984 on June 6, 2026, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
