Obituary

Troy Wayne Drawdy January 4, 1952 – May 10, 2026

Troy Wayne Drawdy, 74, of Ft. Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Troy was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Pam Drawdy, his sister, Darlene, and his parents William (Bus) and Mary Jane Drawdy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Diane Drawdy; his children, Jennifer (Chris) Pottorff, Justin (Rhonda) Drawdy, Chris (Danielle) Steele, Michael Steele, and Chase Steele; his siblings, Terry, Phillip, and Vince (Karyn) Drawdy; grandchildren Caleb (Rebecca) Pottorff, Taylor (Layton) Chambers, Morgan, Mya, Kaylie, Kaleb, and Maddox Drawdy, Hannah, Mallory, and Walker Steele; and great-grandchildren Margot Pottorff, Cooper and Olivia Chambers.

Born on January 4, 1952 in Ft. Pierce, Troy built a successful life rooted in hard work, family, and faith. He founded and grew a thriving concrete business in Ft. Pierce, earning respect as a dedicated entrepreneur who generously gave back to his community. But it was his family that was his greatest accomplishment, and he never missed an opportunity to share a proud word about his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Troy proudly served his country as an Army mechanic early in life. Those who knew him will remember his love for life’s adventures and sharing those adventures with the ones he loved, whether those were peaceful days fishing on the lake, exploring the waters of Hawaii or the Keys, or a week at the races, cheering on (bossing around) his crew and team which often included his son, Justin.

On May 13, 1981, Troy’s life changed forever when he and his first wife, Pam, accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. From that day forward, Troy lived fully for Christ. He became a bold witness for his faith, never missing an opportunity to share the Gospel. Many will remember the impromptu Bible studies he held on his property and his spiritual gift of evangelism that touched countless lives and impacted eternity.

A man of strong faith, deep love for his family, and unwavering conviction, Troy led by example. He gave generously, taught patiently, and loved unconditionally. Troy leaves behind a powerful legacy of business success, adventure, and most importantly, a life devoted to Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Christ Fellowship in Port St. Lucie. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at White City Cemetery. A reception will be held afterward at the Pelican Yacht Club.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Troy’s memory to Graceway Village, an organization serving residents in St. Lucie County who struggle with poverty, food scarcity, homelessness, and other essential needs. Matthew 25:21 (KJV): "His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant.’"
