Trent David Stewart was born on January 28,1964 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
He spent most of his childhood in Edmonton but spent some of his early years in elementary school in Algeria and Norway while his father worked in the Sahara Desert and North Sea. Trent graduated from high school in Edmonton and joined the HMCS Nonsuch which is a naval reserve division in Edmonton.
Trent went on to attend the College of Oceaneering in California where he acquired his bell and deep-sea diving training. He then moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he began his yachting career. He was the Captain of the “Lady Jenn” a 137-foot motor yacht when he retired from yachting in 1999.
He made a career change and became a PGA Golf Professional. He worked for the PGA of America, private and public clubs as a Golf Professional, and ultimately found his calling in the golf industry working for Cueto and Cueto as a Logistics Manager for major sporting events, primarily golf, for nearly 20 years.
Trent’s careers took him all around the world, yet he was a simple man and when he stumbled upon Fort Pierce, Florida, he knew it was his home. He met the love of his life, Anna, while working at Indian Hills Golf Club in 2006. He very much loved the simple pleasures in life…Starbucks, jeopardy, tinkering on his Harley Davidson, fishing, kayaking, riding his sea doo, golfing, watching football, and spending time doing anything with his wife, family and friends.
Trent’s charming smile and contagious giggle would not allow him to meet a stranger. He will be loved forever, greatly missed and never forgotten. Trent would so often say we are making memories, and those memories will be with us forever.
Trent is survived by his wife, Anna; mother, Faye Stewart; brother, Terry (Caroline) Stewart; sisters Tracey Stewart, Treena (Rick) Platt, Amy (Pat) Engle; nephews, Bobby and Brendan Krechuniak, Merak Stewart, Jesse Platt, Andrew Evans; nieces Whitney (Adam) Rutherford, Asleigh (Matherin) Rooney; great-nephew, Grayson Rutherford; great-nieces, Maya and Ada Rooney; and in-laws, Billy and Helen Green. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Robert Stewart.
A visitation will be held at Haisley Funeral Home located at 3015 Okeechobee Rd. Fort Pierce, on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 4:00 PM, followed by a service at 5:00 PM and a reception afterward.
