Theodore “Ted” Donald Barnett, 62, passed away in his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on September 9, 2024 of lung cancer. Ted was born on March 23, 1962, in Denver, Colorado, to Carol Jean Chapman Barnett and Albert Frederick Barnett. He grew up with his two brothers, Andrew Frederick Barnett and Gregory Eugene Barnett, in areas surrounding Denver.
Ted served in the United States Air Force from 1981 to 1985 and was honorably discharged as a Unit Crew Chief. Throughout his life, he was known for his skills working on cars, home repairs, restoring vintage audio equipment, and building model airplanes. He also had a love for animals and spent time photographing the beautiful Florida skies.
Ted is survived by his children, Jessica Barnett and Mathew Barnett, from his first marriage to Cindy Theresa Worthington Barnett, his stepdaughter Nicole Britcher from his second marriage and her two children, Zander and Zoey, his mother Carol Barnett, and his brother Andrew Barnett.
His ashes will be placed at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
