Shirley Delores St. Aimie, 71, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacefully the morning of June 5, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born May 4th, 1953 in Westmoreland, Jamaica to Justin and Silvia (Martin) Gorden. She married her beloved Edgar Wilfred Elwin St. Aimie on August 5, 1972 in Roseau, Dominica.

Shirley served the Lord as a member of the Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Ft. Pierce, FL.

Shirley loved cooking and prepared many delicious Jamaican dishes for her family and friends. She was an avid reader and had an extensive romance novel collection. She eagerly anticipated new releases and kept several lists of books she wanted to read next. She pursued the purchase of newly released books and read them all with enthusiasm. On average, she would read 4 books a week.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Justin Gordan and maternal grandmother, Ms. Theresa Martin.

She played an instrumental role in the immigration process of numerous relatives for their immigration to the United States… a selfless act that cannot be forgotten and is very much appreciated.
