Shirley Mae Burk, 80, passed away on March 22, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida. For many years she worked at Ocean Village in Fort Pierce as a bookkeeper and Jean C. Powell Bookkeeping Services in Fort Pierce. Fishing was not just a hobby, it was serious business to her. She was an avid reader, an artist and a wonderful photographer. Shirley was a very spiritual person and was very strong in her faith.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jimmy E. Burk of Fort Pierce, Florida; sons, Glenn and wife, Linda Elstun of Garner, North Carolina, John Elstun of Springfield, Alabama; step-son, Stephen Burk of Okeechobee, Florida; 9 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son, Richard Elstun and brother, William R. Dewson.
Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 5:30 to 6:30PM with a service to follow at 6:30PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, Florida.
