Robin Leigh Kicklighter, 69, of Hutchinson Island, Florida passed away on July 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 12, 1957, in Decatur, Georgia, Robin was a free spirit from the beginning. She was a bright light who never met a stranger and filled every room she entered with warmth, laughter, and love.
Robin, the second oldest of the family, grew up in Decatur with her parents and four sisters. Even as a child, she was very social, creative like her father, and wonderfully spunky. She dominated on the tennis court in her younger years, and that same competitive, vibrant energy carried through everything she did in life. It was in high school that Robin met the love of her life, Billy. They married soon after, and together they built a beautiful family. Not long after their wedding, Robin became a mother to Ashley, then Amber, Joey and Savanna. Her love only grew as her children married and blessed her with grandchildren. Being a mom, wife and grandmother was Robin's true calling, and she poured her whole heart into her family.
Robin was fashionable, funny, passionate, and always the life of the party. She had an extraordinary gift for making people feel welcomed and loved. In later years, she found joy in sharing a beach house with Billy, collecting seashells, crafting with her granddaughters, dancing to live music, and spending time with her beloved puppies, Brighton, Peter and Piper. She was a social butterfly who treasured her friendships and her family above all else.
Robin is survived by her devoted husband, William Lendell Kicklighter Jr.; her father, Edward Joseph (Willene) Coggins; her daughters, Ashley Kicklighter (Ryan) Olenick, Amber Kicklighter (Matthew) Woolley and Savanna Morgan (Jack) Hedden; her son, William Joseph (Brooke) Kicklighter; her sisters, Pamela (James) Pefinis, Leslie (the late Scott) Tallman, Angelique Coggins, and Christine Coggins; her grandchildren, Brewer Olenick, William Woolley, Anniston Kicklighter, Charlotte Woolley, Landry Kicklighter, Emerson Woolley, and Henry Hedden; and countless friends who were lucky enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Felicia Dale Russell.
Robin’s devout faith was the foundation of her life. She now rests peacefully in the loving arms of her Savior—whole and radiant, just as she was in life.
A celebration of Robin's life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:00 in the morning at Westside Church, 3361 South Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, Florida 34981.
As Andy Andrews once wrote, "Life itself is a privilege, but to live life to the fullest, well, that is a choice." Robin, known lovingly as Roo Roo and Roodini to those closest to her, made that choice every single day.
