Robert Delmer Fansler, 87, was born on January 13, 1939, in Farmington, Delaware. He went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Robert attended Penns Grove High School in New Jersey and continued his education at Goldey-Beacom Business College. Following graduation, he began his career with the DuPont Company in Wilmington, Delaware, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 1991.

In 1960, Robert attended Billy Graham’s Crusade at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was saved and dedicated his life to Christ. His faith remained a cornerstone of his life. He was later blessed with the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River in Israel. Robert was an active member of Grace Emmanuel Church and Morningside Church, where he found great joy in fellowship and service.

After retiring from DuPont, Robert moved to Florida, where he purchased a boat and joined the Port St. Lucie Power Squadron, eventually serving as Commander. He later served his community through his work with the Port St. Lucie Police Department, retiring in May 2006.

Robert enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including golfing, attending church, shooting, camping, fishing, boating, and playing chess. He especially cherished time spent outdoors and time spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Robert David (Darci) Weaver of Port St. Lucie, FL; Lori Brown of Port St. Lucie, FL; Mark Vincent (Linda) Fansler; Kenneth William (GiGi) Fansler; Michael James (Abby) Fansler; William McGowan (Debra); Rob McGowan; and Lori Strang McGowan. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him tremendous pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Fansler; daughter, Sharon K. Fansler, his parents, Delmer and Ida Mae Fansler; his brother, Lionel Fansler; and his sister, Carol Myernick.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Grace Emmanuel Church, 707 Kitterman Rd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.
