Robert Henry Ecker, Sr., 79, passed away on January 20, 2026 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mr. Ecker was born on September 21, 1946 in Sebring, Florida to Andrew and Hazel Ecker and made his home in Fort Pierce, Florida for most of his life. He dedicated 26 years of hard work to Pursuit Yachts in Fort Pierce. Robert was a faithful and active member of Bethel Baptist Church since 1969 and proudly served as a Deacon beginning in 1987.
Robert found great joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, with bass fishing being his true passion. He will be remembered for his strong faith, his steady work ethic, and the love he had for his family and community.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annie Ecker of Fort Pierce, Florida; his sons, Robert Ecker, Jr. and Timmothy Ecker, both of Fort Pierce; his daughter, Brenda Ecker King of Fort Pierce; his brother, George Ecker of Okeechobee; his sisters, Louise Tyson of Okeechobee, Joy Arnold of Palmdale, Diane Tyson of Okeechobee, and Betsy Cintonz of Melbourne; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM at White City Cemetery.
