Richard V. Rudolph, beloved husband, father, friend, brother and community member, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 15, 2026. Richard was known for his unwavering kindness, sharp wit, and dedication to those around him. He spent his life making a positive impact on everyone he met, always ready with a helping hand or a warm smile.
Richard’s legacy lives on through his family, his friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his generosity and the joy he brought to every occasion. He was born on June 19, 1941, in Queens, New York, to John and Theresa Rudolph, who predeceased him, as did his two brothers, Raymond and Donald.
Richard’s unwavering commitment to his family was paramount. He married Ann Marie Lynch, his soulmate, on April 10, 1965, marking the start of a lifelong partnership filled with dedication, strength, and ever-growing love. As a father, Richard cared deeply for his three sons: Richard and his partner Arlene from Port Saint Lucie, Florida; Michael and his partner Catherine from Port Washington, New York; Brian and his wife Maureen from Ballston Spa, New York. His love and affection fully embraced his grandchildren Sean, Lauren, and Colin, who gave him immense pride and happiness.
Richard was also a proud graduate of Manhattan College, where he joined the fraternity Phi Kappa Theta and formed lifelong friendships that became an extended family he cherished deeply. He later earned an MBA from Hofstra University and became a Certified Public Accountant.
He loved to play golf, especially with his wife Ann, his sons, and the fraternity, treasuring the time together far more than the score. Richard also loved his country deeply and served with tremendous pride as a United States Marine.
In honor of Richard’s proud service as a United States Marine, donations may be made in his memory to the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation at www.t2t.org. Please indicate “In memory of Richard Rudolph.”
A funeral Mass for Richard will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at St. Bernadette’s Church, 350 NW California Boulevard, Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
Richard's absence will be felt profoundly, yet his enduring legacy of love and dedication remains with everyone who knew him. We find solace in believing he is now with his Lord, and that we will one day meet again.
