Rev. Rosa Caridad Almonte, 88, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Rosa was born on July 12, 1938, in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic, to Zoilo and Angelica Garcia. She later moved to the United States, where she graduated from Bible Institute in New Jersey. Her devotion to her faith and desire to continue learning led her to pursue additional learning of Bible studies in Florida.

Rosa dedicated her life to serving God, her family, and the Church. She found great joy in preaching and teaching the Word of God, praying, and helping others. She was a woman of deep and unwavering faith who willingly gave of herself to those around her. Her love for God was evident in the way she lived her life and cared for others.

Above all, Rosa cherished her family. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and sharing her faith and wisdom with those around her. Her greatest legacy will be the love, faith, guidance, and lessons she instilled in her family and in the many people whose lives she touched throughout her years of ministry.

She is survived by her children, Ramon Burgos of Tucker, Georgia, Aracelis Valido of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Josie Almonte of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Mercedes Wingate of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Jose Almonte of Huntington, West Virginia, and Rosa Myles of Port St. Lucie, Florida; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will cherish her memory.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Jose C. Almonte, son, Joselito Almonte, who passed away in 2011.

Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 6:00–6:45 PM, with a service beginning at 6:45 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34947. A second visitation will follow the service from 7:45–8:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, with a service beginning at 12:00 PM at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Boulevard, Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie.

La Rev. Rosa Caridad Almonte, de 88 años, falleció en paz el 26 de agosto de 2026, en Fort Pierce, Florida.

Rosa nació el 12 de julio de 1938, en San Francisco de Macorís, República Dominicana, hija de Zoilo y Angelica Garcia. Más tarde se mudó a los Estados Unidos, donde se graduó del Instituto Bíblico en Nueva Jersey. Su devoción a su fe y su deseo de continuar aprendiendo la palabra de Dios la llevaron a continuar sus estudios bíblicos en Florida.

Rosa dedicó su vida a servir a Dios, a su familia y a la Iglesia. Encontraba gran alegría en predicar y enseñar la Palabra de Dios, orar y ayudar a los demás. Fue una mujer de profunda e inquebrantable fe, que siempre estuvo dispuesta a ayudar a quienes la rodeaban. Su amor por Dios era evidente en la manera en que vivía su vida y cuidaba de los demás.

Por encima de todo, Rosa amaba profundamente a su familia. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus seres queridos y compartir su fe y sabiduría con quienes la rodeaban. Su mayor legado será el amor, la fe, la orientación y las enseñanzas que dejó en su familia y en las personas cuyas vidas tocó a lo largo de sus años de ministerio.

Le sobreviven; sus seis hijos, Ramon Burgos, de Tucker, Georgia; Aracelis Valido, de Port St. Lucie, Florida; Josie Almonte, de Port St. Lucie, Florida; Mercedes Wingate, de Port St. Lucie, Florida; Jose Almonte, de Huntington West Virginia; y Rosita Myles, de Port St. Lucie, Florida; 19 nietos; 13 bisnietos; y muchos otros familiares, amigos y seres queridos que siempre atesorarán su memoria.

Rosa fue precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo Josel C. Almonte y su hijo, Joselito Almonte, quien falleció en 2011.

Servicios: El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 3 de septiembre de 2026, de 6:00 a 6:45 p. m., seguido de un servicio a las 6:45 p. m., en Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34947. Después del servicio, habrá un segundo período de velación de 7:45 a 8:30 p. m. en la capilla de la funeraria.

El viernes 4 de septiembre de 2026, se llevará a cabo un velorio de 11:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m., seguido de un servicio a las 12:00 p. m., en Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Boulevard, Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. Para posteriormente ser llevada a su lugar de descanso eterno en Rolling Oaks Cemetery, en Port St. Lucie.
