Raymond Gomes Garcia, 88, of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025. He was born on May 8, 1937, in Belém, Brazil, to the late Perciliana Garcia.
Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Airman First Class. After his service, he went on to dedicate 40 years to Lank Oil Company, where he retired with the respect and friendship of many colleagues.
On February 24, 1980, Raymond married the love of his life, LynnAnn, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Together, they shared 51 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Raymond was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus and an active part of his community. He was an avid bowler and will be fondly remembered by friends and family as a true “Dancin’ Machine”—always the first to take the floor and the last to leave it.
He is survived by his beloved wife, LynnAnn Garcia of Pompano Beach, FL; daughters Cynthia Bair of Columbia, MO; Catherine (John) Wareham of Jupiter, FL; Lisa (Cleveland) English of Lake City, Florida; Nicole (Craig) Hurst of Pompano Beach, FL; and son Raymond (Heidi) Garcia. He was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother Perciliana Garcia, brother Jose DaSilva, and aunt Maria DaSilva.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Raymond’s memory.
Raymond will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared so freely. His spirit lives on in the laughter of his family, the rhythm of the dance floor, and the many lives he touched along the way.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd. Port St. Lucie, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 930 SW Tunis Ave, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953, at 11:30 AM, and a burial to follow at Rolling Oaks.
