It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Perry Neal Curry, 61, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, on May 10, 2026, in the same place he cherished, his personal paradise.

Perry was born April 5, 1965, in Dearborn, Michigan, a son of the late Billy Ray Curry and Rita Curry. Perry loved his family more than anything in the world; they were the source of his joy, which he so often wore on his sleeve, and the center of his universe. They were his anchor, his compass, and everything he did in life, he did in honor of them. His wife, Laura, was his best friend, and he had a natural gift for making her laugh; he never let a day go by without doing just that. His eldest daughter, Isabelle, made it a point to call him every day just to hear his voice, and his face lit up every time he picked up the phone. Perry treasured long walks with his youngest daughter, Marissa, and their dogs, and it became a shared, daily ritual he held close to his heart. Perry once remarked that he knew he was a wonderful father because his daughters would go out of their way to see him and spend time with him whenever they could.

A true Floridian by choice, Perry relished his beach days, basking in the sunshine and listening to the sound of the ocean waves. He was formidable with a deck of cards, whether he was playing Hearts with Gerard and Cathleen, Euchre with Steve and Debbie, or poker with Nate, maintaining a competitive, playful spirit whether he won or lost. Perry had an immense compassion for animals, especially his galgos, greyhounds, and other pets, all of whom he spoiled, taking them out to the Jensen Beach Causeway and even sneaking them meals from Culver’s from time to time. Unexpectedly, he found a deep friendship with his neighbor across the street, Janet, and discovered a mutual passion for botanical gardens and art museums during their many outings. Perry harnessed his love of cars into a lifelong craft and had a unique talent for naming the year, make, and model of any vehicle, whether prompted or unprompted.

Perry was an enthusiastic member of the Port St. Lucie Orchid Society, immersing himself in the camaraderie of his clubmates and the learning environment pertaining to the flower (not that he needed to know much more about plants). Once Perry was outfitted with his new shoulders, he joined a local league at Jensen Beach Bowl, where he once bowled a phenomenal 234, an achievement he never tired of sharing, and rightfully so. Perry could really knock down some pins, whether that be in the lanes or on a Wii video game with his girls.

A devoted husband and father, Perry is survived by his wife of 29 years, Laura Elizabeth Curry, their two beloved daughters, Isabelle Brooke Curry (Nathan Kalosa-Kenyon) and Marissa Elise Curry (Jack Sullivan), and his brother, Glenn Curry (Terri). Perry was a faithful brother-in-law to Maria Asbel (Sean), Karin Moore (Bob), and Frank Cupri (Monica), and a caring son-in-law to Frank Cupri (Shelli) and Jack Moir. He was known as “Uncle P” to his many dear nieces and nephews and was beloved by numerous cousins as well. His family was his world, and he was a tremendous and dedicated friend. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Perry was sure to be moved by his contagious laughter and unending generosity.

Perry was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Curry, and mother, Rita Curry; his mother-in-law, Sharon Moir; his brothers, Lee Conway and Scott Curry; his sisters, Ann Brannon and Cindy Curry; and his niece, Jayn Brannon.

Perry will be remembered for his contagious laughter, generous heart, unwavering devotion to his family, and the joy he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A visitation for Perry will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port St. Lucie. Family reflections and shared memories will begin at 6:30 PM. A dinner gathering at the Sullivan family home will follow the service, with additional information to be shared during the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Perry’s memory to a cause close to your heart. Contributions may be made to Laura Curry to help support the family during this difficult time, or to the animal rescue organizations Greyhounds In Motion or SOS Galgos, both of which reflected Perry’s deep love and compassion for animals.
