Patrick (Paddy) D Hart Sr, 89, passed away on June 9, 2023 in Stuart, Florida.
Mr. Hart was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 25, 1934 and resided in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Patrick was a veteran of the Korean war, and maintained lifetime memberships in the ELKS, VFW, and American Legion. He was a parishioner and Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie.
The most important thing to Patrick was his family. He loved playing golf and getting together with his brothers, having cocktails, and laughing for hours as they riled each other up. He supported his children and grandchildren in all their endeavors with advice such as “You’ll figure it out". He also loved to fix things, placing all broken objects and parts of broken objects in the garage for later repair. He was happiest scratching and checking his lottery tickets, sitting in "his chair” late at night, watching westerns and war pictures while eating a big bowl of ice cream. His major source of pride was being a marine, brother, husband, father, and telephone man, but most of all he enjoyed a good laugh, telling stories and being his own man—honest, caring, and true of heart.
Survivors include wife, Laurie Hart of Port St. Lucie, FL; children, Michael (Tina) Hart of Jensen Beach, FL, Margaret Hart of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Kelly Hart of Stuart, FL, Timothy Hart of Red Hook, NY, and Patrick (Michelle) D Hart Jr of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother, James Hart of Red Hook, NY; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
