Noemi "Mimi" Rodriguez

June 12, 1953 — May 15, 2025

Port St. Lucie

Noemi Rodriguez, lovingly known to many as “Mimi,” passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 71. Born Noemi Caban on June 12, 1953, she lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Noemi was the proud mother of Julio Pabon, Jesse Pabon, and Venus Santiago, and the cherished partner of William Rodriguez. She was a beloved grandmother to Alexus, Joshua, Jonathan, Monica, Summer, Daniel, Roxanne, Jasmine, John Vincent, Christian, and Gabriel, and the doting great-grandmother of three. Her family was the heart of her world, and she poured her love into every moment spent with them.

She is also survived by her father, Ruperto Caban, and her siblings: Norma Velez, Miriam Morales, Migdalia Cruz, Ruperto Caban Jr., Angelo Caban, and Nancy Arce. Her strong family bonds were a source of great joy and pride throughout her life.

Noemi dedicated her professional life to public service as an Executive Secretary for the Internal Revenue Service, where she worked with integrity and diligence until her retirement in 2016.

Her vibrant spirit shone in everything she did. Noemi had a passion for cooking for her family, crafting, and dancing to her favorite salsa music. She was known for her impeccable taste—especially in shoes—and her joyful enthusiasm for shopping. Her home was filled with warmth, good food, music, and the love of her faithful chihuahuas—Chungui and Chichi (who predeceased her), and Mimi and Bella.

Noemi's legacy is one of fierce love, resilience, and generosity. She had a beautiful way of bringing people together and making them feel cherished. Her laughter, her stories, and her unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of her life will honor the beautiful memories she created and the lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 2PM to 4PM with a prayer service to be held at 4PM at Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
