Noble R. “Bimbo” Upchurch, 72, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on June 20, 2025.
Born on July 15, 1952, in Benton, Illinois, Noble lived a rich and creative life, marked by hard work, deep love for his family, and a passion for the arts. He was a man of many talents and careers, working as a coal miner, a Machine Operator for Sikorsky Aircraft, and a Meter Reader for Ft. Pierce Utilities. His desire to provide a good life for his family lead him to many different career paths.
Beyond his work, Noble was an exceptional musician who could bring any room to life with his guitar and keyboard. His love for music was matched by his skill behind the camera and computer he was a gifted photographer and digital artist who saw the world through a creative and compassionate lens.
Noble is survived by his loving wife, Cara Upchurch; his children Rae Lynn Stalvey, her husband Sam Stalvey, Ryan Upchurch, and Ashley Upchurch; his brother Timothy Upchurch; his granddaughter Carrysa Grella and her husband Owen Grella; nieces Rachel McLaren and Ronda Jameson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Opal Upchurch; his sisters Donetta Gunter, Harrietta O’Connor, and Brenda Gibbs; and his brother Terry Upchurch.
Noble’s legacy lives on in the music he played, the images he captured, and the memories he created with those who loved him. He will be deeply missed.
