Nancy Jahn Campbell

October 27, 1954 — March 1, 2024

Port St. Lucie

Nancy Jahn Campbell (69), a cherished partner, mother, sister, and friend, gracefully departed this world on March 1, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that we will forever cherish.

Nancy was welcomed into the world on October 27, 1954, in New Milford, New Jersey to Beatrice Kreuder Jahn and William Jahn. Nancy's adventurous spirit knew no bounds, earning her the endearing title of a "wild child" among her loved ones.  When Nancy was 18, her family relocated to the Sunshine State, better known as Florida.

In her early twenties, Nancy married Steve Campbell and together they raised two children, though years later they amicably divorced. Above all else, Nancy's greatest joy and purpose in life was found in the profound role of motherhood, where her love and dedication knew no bounds, shaping the lives of her children with unwavering care and devotion.

Known for her unwavering commitment to health and wellness, Nancy has been a fixture at Harbor Ridge for the past 24 years, where she has poured her heart into sharing her passion for fitness. Throughout her tenure at Harbor Ridge, she juggled numerous roles, from Fitness Manager to Pilates Instructor to Personal Trainer. In a true display of heroism, Nancy once saved a member's life by swiftly administering CPR and utilizing an AED until paramedics arrived. Her mission to inspire others to embrace active and vibrant lifestyles was always at the forefront of her endeavors.

While she found him later in life, Nancy's life was enriched by the companionship of her partner, Bill Wild, with whom she shared all the little joys of life and explored the wonders of the world.  She was a vibrant force to be reckoned with and Bill embraced the challenge.  Whether she was on the tennis court, at the bowling alley, playing cards, exploring new destinations, or simply soaking in the tranquility of nature, he was often by her side.

In recent years Nancy's happiness was found in the role of grandmother, lovingly known as "Grancy" to her beloved grandson, Arden Campbell. Their bond was a testament to the love, laughter, and nurturing care she poured into every relationship.  During their time together, Nancy took Arden under her wing, guiding him through experiences like the "Little Acorns" program, nurturing his curiosity and fostering a deep appreciation for the wonders of nature.

Nancy leaves behind her devoted partner of over a decade, Bill, her loving children, Christine (Joffrey) and Craig (Kimberly), her adored grandsons Arden and Parker, and her dear brothers William (Lena) and Joseph, among many others that loved her.  Nancy was preceded in death by both of her parents, William and Beatrice, as well as beloved firstborn daughter, Mary Kathleen.

While she may have departed from this world, her zest for life and the beautiful memories she created will forever stay in the hearts of those she touched.

In honoring Nancy's memory, join us on April 13th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Harbor Ridge for a celebration of her lIfe, where we can reflect on the impact she left on each of us.  On this day we encourage you to wear different hues of the rainbow, to symbolize Nancy's colorful spirit that always lit up the room.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery, Oxbow Eco-Center and Preserve or another charity involving nature to honor her compassionate and giving spirit.
