Miriam Martinez

Nov 23, 1953 — Aug 26, 2026

Miriam Martinez, a beloved mother, faithful servant, and vibrant soul, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 26,2026. Born in the coastal town of Guayama, Puerto Rico, on November 23, 1953, Miriam brought warmth, grace, and an inviting & genuine spirit into every room she entered throughout her life. At the very heart of Miriam’s life was her deep and unwavering love for her family.

Deeply devoted to her faith and community, she shared an unconditional love with her Seventh-Day Adventist church family, expressed her joy through music, and touched the lives of everyone in the surrounding neighborhood, but her heart belonged completely to the youth in the Pathfinder Club, where she guided young souls with patience, kindness, and purpose . To her, there was no greater joy than sharing the warmth of God’s love with the next generation. She had a unique gift for listening without judgment, offering a safe harbor where young people felt seen, safe, and entirely free to be themselves. Her bright smile and gentle wisdom touched and guided countless young lives that will continue to bloom in the hearts of those she mentored.

She possessed a brilliant, analytical mind and found her true professional calling in Clinical Laboratory Medicine. As a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist, her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering precision made her a deeply respected colleague and mentor throughout her long career. Upon her well-deserved retirement, she left behind a legacy of excellence and a profound impact on patient care.

Above all else, being a mother was Miriam's ultimate joy and proudest milestone. Her life was defined by unconditional love, selflessness, and constant support. She is survived by her two daughters, Amaris Mangual and Rebecca Cutrona, the lights of her life who continue to honor her legacy of faith, strength, and gentleness.

While our hearts ache with her loss, we celebrate a beautifully lived life. The memory of her warmth, the tangible beauty of her creations, and her lifelong devotion to others will continue to inspire us and live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
