Son of Robert W. Payuk and Doris (Dumont) Payuk
Michael was a Vietnam Army veteran and was decorated with the following honors: the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Expert Rifle (M-14), and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
Michael was an electrical contractor and owned and operated Thunder Electric and Decca Electric in Bethel, CT, for 45 years. He lived in Connecticut until retiring to Fort Pierce, Florida, in 2012. He was a loving father, husband, brother, and a friend to all.
He was deeply devoted to Christianity and his faith in our Lord. He had a great love of trains, and his hobby of building layouts and structures was truly remarkable. His talents were immeasurable.
Michael is survived by his wife, Maureen Murphy Payuk of Fort Pierce; daughters Kristi L. (Payuk) Bonsignore (Robert) and Beth (Payuk) Rhines; son Robert W. Payuk; and former wife Michele B. Payuk (Todd). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Michael W. Payuk and his wife Kellie League; Matthew R. Bonsignore; Kyla H. Bonsignore; Mason C. Bonsignore; Mikade J. Bonsignore; and Jesse N. Rhines. His great-grandchildren include Jensiel A. Quintana, Julian A. Munoz, Spencer League, and Joseph James “JJ” League.
Michael is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Marjorie (Payuk) Sapanaro and her husband Andre; Deborah (Payuk) Mullady and her husband Ralf, and their son Lee; Robert T. Payuk; and Stephen R. Payuk and his wife Tammy, and their children Grace, Marshall, and Jared Payuk. He was predeceased by his brother, Mark L. Payuk.
Michael attended Christ Family Church at the Tradition Worship Center in Port St. Lucie. He loved to speak about the Lord to everyone he met and was a kind man who always sought to help others.

Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm with a service at 3:00 pm at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
