Michael David Oyler, 62, passed away on April 6, 2026 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was born on March 4, 1964 in Bloomington, Indiana to W.C. (Butch) and Julienne Oyler.

Mike attended Bloomington High School South and graduated in 1982. He went on to attend Indiana University for two years.

Mike dedicated 30 years of service to Sears, retiring as a Retail Maintenance Project Manager. He was know for his steady work ethic, reliability, and the pride he took in getting things done the right way.

In Fort Pierce, Mike stayed active in the community and enjoyed the friendships he built there. He was a 10-year member of the Fort Pierce Yacht Club and participated in the Colonnades Community Appreciation Committee (Police, Fire, EMT). He also served as CMI President for five years and president of his Association for fifteen years and volunteered as a driver for Community on Patrol (COP) for three years.

Above all, Mike loved time on the water and being with the people he cared about most. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and making memories with friends and family.

Mike is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patricia Bruton Oyler; his mother, Julienne Oyler of Fort Pierce, FL and Bloomington, IN; his stepson, William Bruton (Candace); his stepdaughter, Ashley Bruton; his step-grandchildren, Sebastian, Nicholas, Nathan Scarborough, and Emelia Bruton all of Texas; his brother, Mark Oyler (Stephanie) of Bloomington, IN; and his nephews, Sam Oyler and Jed Oyler and niece, Meg Oyler also of Bloomington, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father, W.C. (Butch) Oyler in July 1998.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and shared by family.
