Michael Anthony Finetti, 86, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Born on March 29, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, Michael was the beloved son of Rocco and Angelina Finetti. He grew up in Brooklyn, where he attended school and later served his country with pride as a medical specialist in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, continuing his service in the Army Reserves thereafter.
Following his military service, Michael dedicated over 30 years of hard work to the Manhattan Boiler Company, where he was known for his diligence and reliability. After retiring, he made his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he became a well-known and cherished member of the community.
Michael was a man of deep interests and convictions. He was an active member of the National Rifle Association and a devoted parishioner of St. Lucie Catholic Church. His hobbies reflected his appreciation for history and craftsmanship—he loved attending gun shows, collecting antiques and grandfather clocks, and finding peace and purpose in his faith.
Those who knew Michael will remember him as a warm, personable man who made friends wherever he went. His kindness, humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his daughter; Michele (David) French of Fort Pierce, FL, son; Rocco Finetti of Port St. Lucie, FL, grandchildren; Nichole Daigle of Stuart, FL, Jessica Brickles of San Antonio, TX, Austin (Bonnie Jean) French of Fort Pierce, FL, Michael (Carli) Scaringe of Port St. Lucie, FL, Jordan French of Fort Pierce, FL, Marisa (Jeff) Truckner of Vero Beach, FL, Anthony Finetti of Port St. Lucie, FL, great-grandchildren; Nicholas Daigle, Andrew Daigle, Sophia Donnelly, Colter French, Caroline French, and Maylee Grace Truckner. He was predeceased by his parents Rocco and Angelina Finetti, daughter; Angela Lancieri, brother; Vito Finetti, nephews; Rocco Finetti and Vito Finetti.
Visitation will be held at Haisley Tribute Center on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd. Port St. Lucie, Florida. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 9:30 AM at St. Lucie Catholic Church located at 425 SW Irving St. Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. Burial to follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, Port St. Lucie, FL. Friends and loved ones who wish to do so may send flowers or donate in Michael’s memory to St. Lucie Catholic Church or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
