Melissa Anne Duckworth

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Melissa Anne Duckworth, age 49, of Fort Pierce, Florida, who went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2025. Melissa was born on June 1, 1976, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Melissa graduated from Trinity Christian School in West Palm Beach, Florida. Though she spent most of her life in Florida, her kindness, laughter, and generous spirit touched many hearts throughout Alabama and South Carolina, where she also spent parts of her youth.

She is survived by her loving parents, Bob and Darlene Duckworth; her cherished children, Kaylee Jury and Timothy Mau Jr.; her brothers, Mickey and Doug Miller; sisters-in-law, Kelly and Marlene Miller; as well as her beloved aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and one beautiful great-niece — each of whom she adored dearly.

Melissa dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked as a nurse, teacher, and medical billing and coding manager, serving in various offices across Florida. Her compassion, intelligence, and unwavering dedication made her not only a respected professional but also a trusted mentor and friend to many.

Those who knew Melissa will remember her as a bright light — loving, kind, beautiful, and full of life. She had an infectious joy that could fill any room, and she never missed a chance to sing, dance, and celebrate the moment. Above all else, Melissa treasured her family. She would do absolutely anything for the people she loved, always putting others before herself. Her strength, determination, and boundless love were an inspiration to everyone blessed to know her.

Melissa had a remarkable way of turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. Her presence made life more joyful, her laughter more genuine, and her love everlasting.

Funeral services will be held at Spirit Life Church of God, 700 S 33rd St, Fort Pierce, FL 34947, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will follow nearby, with details to be announced at the service.
