Mayte Cuti, 83, died February 2, 2024 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Mrs. Cuti was born on March 24, 1940 in Madrid, Spain.

She was a member of the Castilian Society of Suffolk County, New York.  

Mayte was a loving mother and devoted wife, besides her family running was also her passion. She ran 13 full marathons, countless half marathons, 10K and 5K races.  She was a coach & co-founder of Longwood Youth Track Team in Middle Island, New York.  She was also very proud to be the torch bearer for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.  

Survivors include her husband, Peter Cuti of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Linda Brown of Las Vegas, NV; son, David Cuti of Port St. Lucie, FL; son-in-law, Matt Brown of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Amanda Brown-Cuti, Emily Brown, and Anthony Brown all of Las Vegas, NV, Luke Cuti, Annalea Cuti and Eva Cuti all of Port St. Lucie, FL.

A gathering will be held on March 16, 2024 at 10 AM at the family's home. There will be another gathering held on April 14, 2024 at 2 PM at Ridge Fire Department Co. 2 (525 Lockwood Drive, Shirley, NY 11967).
