Maureen Erb

Maureen Erb (Ziherl) 84 passed away Sunday February 22nd surrounded by her loving family at Harbor Place in Port Saint Lucie Florida. Maureen was born May 5th,1941, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank and Rose (Tomsic) Ziherl. She was a long-time resident of Mayfield Heights, where she raised her family and formed long-lasting friendships. She then moved to her sunny oasis in Port Saint Lucie Florida. Maureen graduated in 1959 from Mayfield high school and attended Ohio University Class of 63'. Prior to her health issues she liked to go to reunions with her classmates. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, collecting Beanie Babies, going out for a “bite to eat”, and going on cruises with her brother Bud and sister-in-law Jo-ell. All who knew her, knew not to call her between 7 & 8 pm (Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy). Above all Maureen lived her very best life enjoying time together with family and friends (and of course her faithful companion Cracker).

Maureen is survived by her daughter Kelly Lachina-Layton and sons Kevin Ross and Michael Ross. She was a loving Nana to Louis Farr (Melanie), Alexander Domorasky, Taylor Lachina (Shaina), Spencer Domorasky, Jaymes Ross, Emily Ross, Allan Ross and Natalie Ross. She was also a dedicated Great Grandmother to Connor Reed, Joey Reed, Logan Reed, Myah Yusuf and Makayla Yusuf. She is preceded in death by late husbands Thomas Ross and John ' Skip ' Erb. Her daughters Kimberly Domorasky (Wade), Shannon Farr, and son, Thomas Ross. Granddaughters Lauren Domorasky, and Kristen Yusuf (Deri) and her brother Frank 'Bud' Ziherl (Jo-ell). Maureen was “magic” and “smart”. She was warm, and gentle with a contagious laugh and compassion for her family and many friends.

Donations may be made in her name to the St. Jude's Foundation and The Michael J Fox Foundation. Condolences may be posted to the Haisley Funeral Home website.

Her celebration of life will be on her birthday next year May 5th, 2027. Details to be announced closer to the date.
