Mathew Robert Morgan

The family of Mathew ‘Matt’ Robert Morgan is saddened to announce his passing on March 10, 2026 in Vero Beach at the age of 64. 

Matt was born on September 25th, 1961 to Robert Morgan and Gertrude Morgan in Miami, FL. Matt was an only child, but he was extremely close to his cousin Debbie whom he considered a sister. In his youth, Matt enjoyed exploring the city with his friends and joining his family on boat trips to the Caribbean. Matt later married and had two children before moving to Naples on the east coast of Florida. Matt spent most of his career working as a marine mechanic and was in the industry for over 30 years. 

Matt enjoyed classic and hard rock, Stephen King novels, and anything movie or television. Matt was patient and caring with those close to him, and he had a quick, playful sense of humor. Matt was also stubborn and would avoid hard topics and difficult conversations like the plague - but that was just who Matt was.

Matt is survived by his wife, Cynthia, his two daughters from a previous marriage, Alex and KC, as well as the many friends and colleagues who have known and cared for him throughout his life. Matt has been laid to rest at Venice Memorial Gardens, located at 1950 Center Road, Venice, FL, beside his mother and father.
