Mary Ann Nichols Dixon

Mary Ann Nichols Dixon passed away on February 18, 2026 at home among her family. She was born on October 16, 1931 to Delphia Petty Nichols and Wallace W. Nichols. Mary married Hubert Clay Dixon (1930-2012) on May 26, 1950 and they made their home in Fort Pierce.

Mary was always welcoming her three boys’ friends into her home and cooked plenty for everyone. She worked for the telephone company as the boys grew and later was the athletic secretary for John Carroll High School for many years.

She loved watching her birds and living in her wooded home west of town.

Mary is survived by her three sons, Steve & Vicki Dixon, Rick & Susan Dixon, and John & Angie Dixon all of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Jeff Dixon, Nicole Davidson, Amanda Van Camp, Sarah Young, Dan Dixon, Daniel Dixon, Michael DiFruscio, Dylan Dixon, Delaney Dixon and Ella Malone; and 14 great grandchildren.

Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 4-6 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A private burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
