Mary Ann King, 90, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. King was born on June 19, 1935, in Rawlins, Wyoming, and was lovingly raised by Harry and Mary Seydel, who were her devoted parents. At the age of 13, she moved from Washington, D.C., to Fort Pierce, Florida, where she would spend the rest of her life.
Mary Ann was a devoted homemaker and dedicated Avon representative for over 50 years. Avon was truly her passion, and she cherished the relationships she built with her many loyal customers. She was a talented seamstress who found great joy in sewing, as well as in crafts such as needlepoint, cross-stitch, and decoupage. Known for her warm hospitality, Mary Ann was also a wonderful cook, especially famous for her peanut butter pies. Above all, she deeply loved and cherished her family.
She was a long-time member of Indian River Presbyterian Church.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Diane Bodenhamer of Tallahassee, Florida; her son, David (Naen) King of Fort Pierce, Florida; her sister, Peggy Scott of Vero Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Jake (Sarah) King, John Henry (Tami) Bodenhamer, Ashley (Chris) Koblegard, Mary Bodenhamer (Jason Pusey), and Luke King; and her great-grandchildren, Kanon, Kloe, Daxton, Daniel, and Kaylyn.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don “Coach” King; her son-in-law, Budd Bodenhamer; and her grandson, Adam King.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
