Marilyn Wright, age 88, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was born on October 26, 1937, in Port Huron, Michigan, to George and Ruth Miller.
Marilyn dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse at River District Hospital in St. Clair, Michigan. Her compassion, kindness, and commitment to helping those in need left a lasting impression on her patients, coworkers, and all who knew her.
She was a faithful member of Sunlight Community Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and an active member of the Red Hat Society. Marilyn found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved walking her beloved dog, Momma, playing cards, shopping, attending dances, playing Bingo, dining out with friends, and spending time with animals. An avid animal lover, she had a special place in her heart for pets and wildlife alike. Marilyn was especially grateful for the many treasured friendships she made at Kings Isle, whose love and companionship enriched her life.
Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kimberly (Wesley) Frizzle; her son, Chris Marsh; her daughter, Carie (Craig) Frizzle; her niece, Terri (Larry) Saunders; and several cherished grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Marsh; her son, Mark Marsh; her parents, George and Ruth Miller; and her sister, Carole Burleigh.
Marilyn's kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and caring spirit touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marilyn's memory to the Blue Water Area Humane Society, 6266 Lapeer Road, North Street, MI 48049, or by calling (810) 987-4357. Marilyn's love for animals made this organization especially meaningful to her, and such gifts would honor her compassionate legacy.
