Maria Elena “Nena” Gamez

Maria Elena “Nena” Gamez, 68, passed away on October 25, 2025 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.

Mrs. Gamez was born in Michoacan, Mexico on November 17, 1956 to Agustin and Maria Magaña, and later made Fort Pierce, Florida her cherished home.

Maria was a devoted Catholic and a woman of immense faith. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and gardening, and found her greatest joy in spoiling her beloved nietas y nietos. She treasured every moment spent with her family, including her siblings and extended family. Maria was proudly married to the love of her life for 49 wonderful years.

Survivors include her husband, Salvador Gamez of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Alejandro (Nicole) Gamez of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Christina (Everado) Lopez of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Nancy Gamez of Fort Pierce, FL; and son, Ivan Gamez of Port St. Lucie, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Benicio Gamez, Isabella Gamez, Nikko Gamez, Julian Stone, Aziel Stone, and Noemi Lopez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Agustin Magaña.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 PM at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in Fort Pierce. Burial will proceed at White City Cemetery.
