Margie Ellen (Sizemore) Walker-Lloyd, lovingly known to her family as “Momaw,” passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on September 1, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida, at the age of 97. 

Margie was born on January 11, 1929, in White Oak, West Virginia, to Violet Byrd and James Sizemore. Throughout her long and beautiful life, she made her home in both West Virginia and Florida.

Momaw was a beautiful, classy, and gracious woman who treated everyone she met with love, acceptance, politeness, and respect. A devoted Christian, she was heavily involved in her church, and her strong faith guided the way she lived and cared for others. Her family was at the center of her life, and she was always willing to help them in any way she could. 

She loved cooking and was famous among her family for always having a cake waiting on the counter. She also enjoyed shopping and was a talented oil paint artist. Margie extended her caring nature beyond her home serving as a board member and president of Palm Vista Christian School. As well as through her work on the pediatric floor at Lawnwood Regional Hospital in Fort Pierce, Florida. 

Margie is survived by her husband, Clifton Lloyd; her children, Kathy Brennan and Jerry “Jared” E. Walker and stepson, Vernon Lloyd; six of her eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest “Weldon” Walker; her children, Connie Durand and Randall Walker, her grandchildren, Randy Walker and Seth Brennan, and her parents, Violet Byrd and James Sizemore. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00p.m. at Haisley Funeral Home. Immediately following the visitation will be a funeral service that will begin at noon. Those wishing to honor Margie’s memory may make a donation to Calvary Chapel in Vero Beach, Florida or send flowers to Haisley Funeral Home. 

Momaw leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, grace, kindness, and unconditional love. Her family will forever remember her warm heart, her beautiful spirit, her laugh and sense of humor, and of course, the cake that was always waiting on the counter.
