Mr. Gil-Velazco was born in Mexico and moved to Fort Pierce in 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Mendez of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Daniel Gil-Mendez, Manuel Mendez-Gil and Francisco Gil all of Fort Pierce, FL and a host of brothers and sisters.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5-8 PM with a service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
