Manuel “El Chapeteao” Cendejas Gomez, 76, passed away on October 25, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Cendejas Gomez was born in Mexico and made Fort Pierce, Florida, his home. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, especially farm life, planting corn, and peeling cactus. He also enjoyed playing scratch-off tickets and watching classic Western movies. Above all, Manuel loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy.

Survivors include his loving wife, Graciela Cendejas; his children, Virginia Andrade, Laura Castro, Jose Manuel Cendejas, Audelia Vieyra, Erica Magana, and Graciela Gamez; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente Cendejas and Audelia Gomez; and his siblings, Maria Del Carmen Gamez, Jose Cendejas, and Raquel Gamez.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
