In Loving Memory of Linda Lou Wilson (Hall)
September 26, 1946 – October 4, 2025
Linda Lou Wilson, 79, of Palm City, Florida, entered into rest on October 4, 2025. She was born on September 26, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, and lived a life marked by deep faith, love, and devotion to her family and the Lord.
Linda attended East Tennessee State University, where she met Joe. She was baptized into the church of Christ a few months before marriage, beginning a lifelong walk of faith. Linda married Joe David Wilson on December 15, 1966, in Unicoi, Tennessee. Together they shared 52 years of marriage until Joe’s passing on June 23, 2018. Their life together was built on faith, ministry, and family. They spent most of their married life in St. Lucie County, Florida, where Joe served as a preacher and Linda faithfully served beside him as a preacher’s wife, mother, and friend to many.
In the early years of their marriage, Linda and Joe traveled across the country for evangelistic efforts before settling in Florida. She served faithfully for over 45 years at the Port St. Lucie church of Christ, where they raised their three children in the congregation.
Following Joe’s passing, Linda continued her faithful service to God and became a dedicated member of the Church of Christ at Savona in Port St. Lucie, where she attended until her death. Her steadfast spirit, compassion, and love for others left an enduring impression on everyone who knew her.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her three children — David Wilson of Littleton, CO; Bobby Wilson of Port St. Lucie, FL; and Leanna Haag of Honolulu, HI — and her nine beloved grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.
In addition to her ministry work, Linda was employed with Allstate Insurance as a secretary before beginning a 20-year career with the United States Postal Service in Fort Pierce, where she served the Lakewood Park community with care and integrity. For 13 years after that, she worked as a substitute teacher with St. Lucie County Schools, finding joy and purpose in her time with the students.
On August 1, 2022, Linda married Rodney Hall of Palm City, Florida. They shared a life together until her unexpected passing at home on October 4, 2025. Though her death was sudden and believed to have been caused by a seizure, her life was a lasting testimony of faith, strength, and love.
Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and gentle spirit. Her legacy lives on through her family, her church, and the countless lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe David Wilson, and is survived by her husband, Rodney Hall, and her beloved family who will cherish her memory forever.
A graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2025 at White City Cemetery, 3800 Sunrise Blvd, Fort Pierce at 3:00 PM and a Memorial Service to follow at Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Rd, Fort Pierce.
