Linda S. Corbitt, 76, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Corbitt was born on December 29, 1949, in Palm Beach, Florida, and moved to Fort Pierce with her family in 1952.
Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and never missed watching her favorite television “stories,” including Days of Our Lives and The Bachelor. Linda was also a big baseball fan and was known for passionately arguing with the umpires. She once coached softball and always had a compassionate heart, often going out of her way to help others. Linda was known for her quick wit and playful sense of humor — a proud “smartass,” as those who loved her would say — which made her everyone’s favorite and a fiercely protective presence for her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Emma Corbitt of Texas and Linda Wren of Fort Pierce; grandchildren, Robert Wilcox, Katherine Conran, Alyssa Wren, Kelly Carlos, Bryan Varnes, and Addie Wright; and great-grandchildren, Chandler Crouch, Olivia Conran, Chris Conran, and Aria Conran.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Ann Simmons and Nancy Walker; and her brothers, Tommy Corbitt and Jesse Corbitt, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Wilcox home.
