Leon “Buddy” Kimball Mock, Jr., 77, passed away on January 25, 2024 in Lecanto, Florida.

Mr. Mock was born in Coral Gables, Florida on November 4, 1946 and resided in Homosassa, Florida.

With only a 9th grade education, Buddy started an auto body business working out of a warehouse bay in the 70’s.  He grew that business into a multi-million-dollar company, doing business as Buddy’s Auto Trim and Glass (an auto accessory, auto upholstery and auto trim shop), Buddy’s Holiday Vans (specializing in customizing vans) and Buddy’s Holiday Mobility (specializing in high tech customization of vans and equipment for the handicap community).  Buddy’s most proud accomplishment was pioneering the way in customizing conversion vans for the handicap community.  He was one of the founding members of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) and his business was listed as number 175 in Inc. Magazine’s 500 fastest growing private companies in America in 1988.  He was a member of the Shaws Fork Baptist Church.   Buddy grew up with a love and respect of the outdoors.  He enjoyed airboating, guns and reloading ammunition, and most importantly loved and provided for his family and friends.

Survivors include his spouse, Dorothy (Scott) Mock; children, Steve (Tami) Rolls of Fort Pierce, FL and Jodi (Michael A.)
