Lee Waller, a dedicated veteran of the US Coast Guard, passed away at the age of 87. He proudly served as a Senior Chief Radioman for 22 1/2 years, leaving a lasting legacy in the Coast Guard community.
Lee's service to his country is remembered and appreciated by those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Diane, and their children, Michael and Darlene. The family also mourns the loss of their beloved son, Matthew, who passed away earlier this year.
Lee was a man of many passions. He loved spending time outdoors, where he enjoyed biking, camping, and walking. His witty sense of humor and storytelling ability brought joy to those around him, as he regaled friends and family with old sea stories and jokes. Lee was also a skilled woodworker and handy person, always eager to take on a new project.
In honor of his dedicated service, the family will be holding a private Coast Guard ceremony to celebrate Lee's life and legacy. Following the ceremony, his ashes will be returned to the sea, a fitting tribute to a man who spent his career serving on the water.
