Klaus A. Gruner, born July 16, 1938 in Berlin, Germany, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2025 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Klaus lived a rich and full life marked by curiosity, craftsmanship, and adventure. He loved sailing his sailboat, exploring new places, and creating memorable meals in the kitchen. His passion for travel and his appreciation for the simple joys of life were evident to all who knew him.
On June 2, 2018, Klaus married the love of his life, Catherine, with whom he shared years of companionship, laughter, and devotion.
Klaus is survived by his wife, Catherine Gruner of Port St. Lucie, FL; his sons, Phillip Gruner of California, Wolfgang Gruner of Germany, and Thomas Gruner of California; his step-sons, Michael G. Bishop and Anthony S. Bishop, both of Arizona; and his step-daughter, Jennifer of Ohio. He was predeceased by his former wife and the mother of his sons, Claudia Gruner, as well as his step-daughter, Caryn Elizabeth Bishop.
A dedicated and skilled professional, Klaus was the proud owner and operator of Electronic Relays, where he invested many years of hard work and expertise.
Klaus will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love of the sea, and the warmth he brought to the lives of those around him. His memory will be treasured by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
