June Doherty Wauters
June Doherty “Mickey” Wauters, 89, went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2022 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
June was born in Newark, New Jersey and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.
June was a stay-at-home wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing Bingo, horseback riding, and crocheting. She was a member of the Indian River Presbyterian Church, Fort Pierce.
Survivors include her sister, Joan Dorothy Doherty Genna of Long Island, NY; sons, James Stephen Wauters of Fort Pierce, FL, and Stephen Michael Wauters of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Dorothy Wauters Stutzman of Okeechobee, FL; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ralph Theodore Wauters, Sr., son, Ralph Theodore Wauters, Jr., daughters, June Wauters Hand and Ruthie Harrison and sisters, Joyce Dono and Jacqueline “Jackie” Testa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
A visitation will be held on December 10, 2022 from 2:30 to 3:30 at Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, Florida, with the service to follow at 3:30 PM.
