Joyce Ann Kaskeski Herndon, 84, passed away on October 11, 2026, in Stuart, Florida.

Mrs. Herndon was born on January 3, 1942, in Washington, D.C., to Anthony and Irene Kaskeski. She moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, in 1977 from Miami and made Fort Pierce her lifelong home.

Joyce had a compassionate heart and a special love for animals. Whenever she encountered an injured animal, she would take it in and do everything she could to help save it. She also had a passion for working with children, especially children with special needs, and found great joy in teaching and helping them learn. Joyce treasured the time she spent working at Neill’s U-Pick with Betty and David Neill. She was also a devoted Miami Dolphins fan who proudly supported her team.

Survivors include her son, Kevin (Jamie) Herndon; grandchildren, Gregory Herndon, Jr. and Brianne Herndon; great-grandchildren, Tristin Kackley, Zane Poulsen, and Sophia Poulsen; and niece, Donna Gustafson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Herndon; her son, Gregory Herndon; and her grandson, Devin Herndon.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida.
