Joy Ann Scott, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 4, 2026. Born on November 2, 1943.

She spent many years working in the hospitality industry, a career that perfectly suited her love for a colorful and adventurous lifestyle. It also allowed her to live in the Bahamas for many years while raising her daughters.

Joy was a creative soul who expressed her love for the world through her beautiful paintings. She was also an avid collector of unique treasures, finding beauty in items that others might discard or overlook.

Joy graduated from Dan McCarty High School and had a lifelong love of learning and received her cosmetology license after graduating. She attended Indian River State College, where she earned her culinary degree. An exceptionally talented cook, Joy took great pride in her culinary skills and was honored with numerous awards from cooking competitions over the years.

Joy was a devoted member of Fairlawn Church in Fort Pierce, where her faith was an important part of her life. Joy’s devotion to Jesus led her on trips to Haiti and inspired so many people around her.

Survivors include daughter, Alicia A. Treat of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Kayla M. (Justin) Trant of Brooklyn, CT, Brianna M. Pohronezny of Palm Coast, FL; great-grandchildren, Ada, Colin & Elsie Trant, and Casey Lee Walker; and brother, Dan C. Scott. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Carlton Scott, mother, Peggy T. Scott, brother, Al Scott, sister, Anne Martin, daughter, Michelle Thompson, and grandchild, Joshua Pohronezny.

Services: A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Riverview Memorial Park.
