Joseph Michael Jahn (Joe), 62, died on July 6, 2026, at the Port Saint Lucie, Florida home of his best friends, after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of incurable cancer. Joe was born on March 19, 1964. He lived in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey until the age of 8, when he moved to Port Saint Lucie with his family. As an adult, he relocated to Avon Park, Florida.
Joe and formal education were never a good fit, but he loved technology and developed impressive knowledge and skills in the field. He became a self-taught IT consultant that family and friends relied on. Calm and patient, he was always available to help with internet, software or computer glitches no matter what time of day or night. Through his business JMJ Enterprises, he built and repaired computers, designed and installed home automation systems including lighting and security, and created home theaters and entertainment systems. Also, several local businesses depended on Joe’s expertise to set up and maintain computerized systems.
Joe was a generous, thoughtful, and humble man. He loved to laugh, and had a warm, wonderful smile. Over the course of his life, he developed strong, lasting friendships. One of his favorite pastimes was camping with his friends.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Bill and Beatrice, and his older sister Nancy. He is survived by his older brother Bill (Lena), and his nieces and nephews: Christine (Joffrey) Craig (Kimberly), Kalle (Joanmarie) and Linnea (Sean). He is also survived by his sister Nancy’s partner Bill, and by his best friends Frank and Cindy, who lovingly cared for him in their home in his final weeks.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date.
