Jose Enrique Gonzalez, Sr.

Jose Enrique Gonzalez, Sr., of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was born on March 29, 1943, in Havana, Cuba. On November 23, 1962, Jose married the love of his life, Sara M. Gonzalez (née Lastra), with whom he shared a beautiful life of dedication, family, and unwavering commitment.

Jose leaves behind his devoted wife, Sara M. Gonzalez of Fort Pierce, Florida; his son, David Gonzalez, and daughter-in-law, Corina Orozco de Gonzalez; and his cherished grandson, Sebastian Gonzalez, all of Jensen Beach, Florida. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Samary Gonzalez Tenor; son-in-law, Kevin Tenor; and his adored great-grandson, Kaiden Tenor, all of Bradenton, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jose Enrique Gonzalez, Jr.

A gifted Craftsman Carpenter and Journeyman Cabinet Maker, Jose was a proud lifelong member of the Cabinet Makers Union Local 1554 in Miami, Florida. He was well known and deeply appreciated for his exceptional talent; designing, building, and completing home repair projects for family and friends with generosity and unmatched skill. His hands shaped not only wood, but also the lives and homes of those he loved.

Above all, Jose was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who dedicated his life to providing for and supporting his family. His kindness, work ethic, and quiet strength will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Services will be held at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 Southwest Bayshore Boulevard, Port Saint Lucie, Florida, on Thursday, December 4, 2025. A viewing will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
