Jon Anthony Willems Sr.
March 28, 1965 to May 20, 2025
Jon Willems Sr., 60, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away on May 20, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of the area and known by many as “Snake Man” for his love of snakes and reptiles.
Jon was a tradesman and could do just about anything. He was a talented carpenter, mechanic, electrician, and plumber. If something was broken, Jon could fix it. He worked hard and took pride in knowing how to do things right.
He loved all animals and had a deep connection with nature. He had a rare ability to catch, tame, and care for wild animals, many of which became his pets. Whether it had scales, fur, or feathers, Jon treated every creature with curiosity and respect.
He was full of life, tall, loud, always smiling, and always the center of a good time. He loved his family deeply and spent most of his time with them. If Jon was around, you were laughing. Everyone who knew him has a story, a joke, or a memory they will never forget.
He is survived by his children, Jon “Jon Jon” Willems Jr. (Jayde) and Chloe Willems (Brandon); his grandchildren, Lily, Ava, Juliana, and Anthony; and his siblings, Tanya Knappman, Donnie Willems, Tama Clasby, Teddy Willems, and Marty Willems. Jon was preceded in death by his father Don Willems, his mother Joan Willems, his brother David Willems, his sister Melissa Willems, and his brother-in-law David Clasby.
