John “Jack” Windle, 80, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Born on March 5, 1946, in Orlando, Florida, Jack was the son of Fred and Mary Grace Windle. He graduated from John Carroll Catholic School and lived a life grounded in faith, service, and devotion to family. He retired at the age of 70 from the Aerospace Industry. He was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Fort Pierce, as well as St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Linville, North Carolina.

Jack found joy in the mountains of North Carolina, where he spent many cherished days. He had a generous heart and believed deeply in giving back to his community. He volunteered with the Ave Maria Food Bank and Hospitality House in North Carolina, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He loved fishing, boating, traveling, and playing golf, but nothing meant more to him than his family. His greatest happiness came from time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great‑grandchildren—moments that will remain treasured memories.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean Martin Windle; his children Mark (Geralyn) Windle, Michael (Terri) Windle, Catherine (Blake) Crane, and Matthew (Shannon) Windle; grandchildren Jason (Candace) Banks, Josh Windle, Joey (Delanie) Windle, Rachel (Pierce) Hostetler, Anna Crane, Manny Windle, and Quinn Crane; great‑grandchildren Hudson Banks, Zachary Windle, Norah Hostetler, and Leila Hostetler; his brother Fred Windle; sisters Betty Healy and Theresa Hall; sister‑in‑law and brother‑in‑law Marcia and Ron Cornell; brother‑in‑law and sister‑in‑law Dr. James and Eileen Martin; and many nieces and nephews.

Services Visitation will be held at Haisley Funeral Home located at 3015 Okeechobee Rd. Fort Pierce on Thursday, October 8th from 6–8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church located at 1924 Zephyr Ave, Fort Pierce, FL 34982on Friday, October 9th at 10 AM, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice House.
