John “Wayne” Davis

John “Wayne” Davis, 81, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Davis was born on July 27, 1943, to Earl Paul and Mary Aileen Merriam Davis in Miami, Florida, and resided in Fort Pierce for many years.

Wayne honorably served in the U.S. Air Force as a police sergeant. He worked as treasurer of Red Aircraft in Fort Lauderdale for 14 years before becoming operations manager at Red Aircraft in Fort Pierce. He later continued his career with the St. Lucie County Airport & Utilities Department until his retirement.

An active member of the Fort Pierce Kiwanis Club, Wayne was known for his dedication to community service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, playing tennis, and traveling with family and friends.

He loved watching his children succeed and excel in life. He lived a life marked by compassion, strength and love with deep devotion to his family. His selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever in our hearts.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Trudi Davis; daughter, Arline Grove; stepson, Brian Ross Friedrick; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Paul and Mary Aileen Davis, and his daughter, Chris Davis.
