John Franklin Dixon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Franklin Dixon, who entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.

John's greatest pride and joy was his family. He loved deeply, gave generously, and faced life's challenges with remarkable courage and grace. Above all, John had an unwavering faith in the Lord. He never hesitated to share the love of Jesus with anyone he met and was always ready to speak His name, offer words of encouragement, or pray with someone in need. His faith wasn't just something he believed—it was something he lived every day.

John was also the definition of a faithful husband. He loved his wife wholeheartedly and never let a day go by without reminding her how much she meant to him. Whether through a kind word, a gentle hug, a thoughtful gesture, or simply being by her side, it was the little things he did every day that made her feel deeply loved. Their marriage was built on faith, friendship, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another. Though they were blessed with only three short years together, they were three wonderful years. God brought them together at exactly the right time, and in John, she found the love she had been waiting for her entire life. She will forever thank God for every moment they were given together.

If you knew John for more than a few minutes, chances are he had already shared his love for Jesus, made you laugh, or made you feel like family.

John never met a stranger, and he had a remarkable gift for making people laugh. A true jokester at heart, he could find humor in almost any situation and loved cracking jokes just to see someone smile. His quick wit, contagious laughter, and playful spirit brought joy to everyone around him, making even the hardest days feel a little lighter.

During his years at John Carroll High School, John was much more than a teacher—he was a coach, a mentor, and a role model to countless students. He believed in encouraging others to reach their full potential, both on and off the field, and he led by example with integrity, compassion, and unwavering faith. Whether he was offering advice, sharing a laugh, or simply taking the time to listen, John had a way of making people feel valued and capable. The lessons he taught reached far beyond the classroom and the playing field, leaving a lasting impact on the many lives he touched.

John's heart for serving others continued throughout his career at Jacquin & Sons, where he found more than coworkers—he found family. The friendships he built there were among the greatest blessings of his life. Through life's celebrations and challenges, his Jacquin family stood beside him with unwavering love, support, and friendship. They held a very special place in John's heart, and his family will always be grateful for the kindness and love they shared with him.

When he wasn't spending time with his family, you could usually find John on the water with a fishing rod in his hand. Fishing wasn't just a hobby—it was one of his greatest joys. He had a gift for catching snook and loved sharing that passion with his children. Some of his happiest moments were spent on the water teaching them to fish, telling stories, celebrating every catch, and creating memories that will be treasured forever. Those days were never just about fishing—they were about making the most of every moment with the people he loved.

John leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love, laughter, kindness, generosity, and service to others. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, former students, coworkers, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the love he so freely gave.

While we grieve his absence, we rejoice in knowing that John is now home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We can only imagine the joyful reunion as he was welcomed into heaven by his beloved parents. He loved his mom dearly and never stopped talking about her home-cooked meals, and he deeply admired and missed his dad every day. We also smile knowing he has been reunited with his dear friend, Troy Drawdy, and so many other loved ones who went before him.

John is survived by his loving wife, Angela Dixon of Fort Pierce, Florida; his children, Nicole (Rick), Daniel (Norrana), Dylan, Michael DiFruscio, Mikayla Serrichio (Mike), Kyle Caglioni, and Ella Rose Malone; his cherished grandchildren, Addy Mae Elmore, Lilly Dixon, Carter Dixon, and Tyde Spuler; his brothers, Rick (Susie) Dixon and their children, Dan and Sarah, and Steve (Vicki) Dixon and their children, Amanda, Jeff, and Delaney, all of Fort Pierce, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hurbert “HC” Clay Dixon, and his mother, Mary Ann Dixon.

John is whole. He is pain-free. He is home.

Though we will miss him beyond words, we hold tightly to God's promise that this is not goodbye—it is simply, until we meet again.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to Treasure Coast Hospice or Discovery Church-Fort Pierce, honoring the faith, compassion, and love that guided his life.

Services: A gathering will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 3:00-4:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM at Discovery Church, Fort Pierce.
