Joey Lee Bearor, 48, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. He was born on March 24, 1978, in Skowhegan, Maine, to Terry and Bonnie Bearor of Madison, Maine and Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Joey moved to Port St. Lucie at a young age, where he attended school and formed lifelong friendships. Throughout his childhood, he cherished time spent in Maine with family and friends, especially at North Pond at his beloved Aunt Frannie’s camp.
After high school, Joey lived in both Maine and Florida, embracing life fully while working as a painter, car detailer, and cook. He held a special place in his heart for the time he spent with his Uncle Mike in Canaan, Maine. He was blessed with the birth of his daughter, Haylie May Cyr, whom he loved deeply.
Joey eventually settled in Port St. Lucie, where he remained close to his parents. He shared a special bond with his mother, who was also his best friend, and he found joy in playfully teasing his father. He loved spending time with family—playing cards, enjoying bingo, or sharing moments together at the slot machines. He was a member of AMVETS Post 15, where he will be remembered for his charisma and memorable good fortune.
An avid fisherman and passionate collector, Joey took great pride in building an impressive Hot Wheels collection. In his final months, he found great happiness with his beloved Australian Shepherd, Charlotte.
Joey is survived by his parents, Terry and Bonnie Bearor; his daughter, Haylie May Cyr; his lifelong friends, John Fagundes and Apollo Zagar; honorary cousin Justin Law; and special neighbors, Jerry and Liz Smith, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was welcomed into rest by his brother, Jonathan Bearor; his maternal grandparents, Maxime and Lillian LeBlanc; his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Lorraine Bearor; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Joey’s life will be held on April 25, 2026 at 10:30AM at The Church of the Nativity, 1151 Del Rio Blvd, Port St Lucie, with a gathering to follow at AMVETS Post 15, 2024 S US Hwy 1, Fort Pierce.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his comedic personality and spontaneous spirit.
